Gasoline for October delivery RBV4, -4.05%  declined nearly 11 cents, or 4.1%, on the day to settle at $2.5869 a gallon on Nymex. Gasoline futures lost 7% in September, and 16% in the quarter — their steepest quarterly drop since the fourth quarter of 2012.
