Euro tops $1.14 for first time since mid-May

The dollar extended its losses against the currencies of most industrialized nations on Thursday after Federal Reserve policy makers said they would be more cautious about raising the central bank’s benchmark interest rate than the market had expected at their June policy meeting.

The greenback USDJPY, +0.07%  weakened to ¥122.99, a one-week low, from ¥123.43 late Wednesday in New York.

After rising above $1.14 for the first time since mid-May, EURUSD, +0.0000%  the euro trimmed gains to trade around $1.1373. It was at $1.1337 late Wednesday in New York.
