Key Asian markets including Bursa Malaysia fell in early Thursday trade as the ongoing talks between Greece and the European Union leaders failed to produce a viable solution.
At 9.43am, the FBM KLCI was down 3.52 points or 0.2% to 1,728.16. Turnover was 308.62 million shares valued at RM170.30mil. Declining stocks beat advancers 252 to 146 while 199 counters were unchanged.
Reuters reported Asian shares edged down and the US dollar was treading water in early Asian trade on Thursday, with investors on ice ahead of a meeting of European Union leaders later in the session as Greece continued last-minute efforts to avert a default.
