Fund selling of IHH Healthcare, Telekom Malaysia, Tenaga Nasional and saw the FBM KLCI closing at 1,716, which was the lowest since Jan 7 as the Greek debt resolution issue weighed on market sentiment.
At 5pm, the KLCI was down 14.87 points or 0.86% to 1,716.81. Turnover was 1.65 billion shares valued at RM2.08bil. Declining stocks beat advancers 552 to 292 while 254 counters were unchanged.
The ringgit weakened to 3.7575 against the US dollar from the previous close of 3.7513.
