The euro pared gains against the dollar on Wednesday as Greek debt negotiations faltered after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said creditors have refused to accept some of Athens’ latest proposals. EUR/USD was last at 1.1183, off highs of 1.1235 hit earlier in the day. Market sentiment was hit after a Greek government official said the Greek prime minister told associates that some of Greece’s latest proposed reform measures had not been accepted by creditors. The remarks came as Tsipras departed for Brussels to meet with the heads of the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
