Ringgit ends higher against US dollar

The ringgit ended higher against the US dollar and other major currencies on Monday, boosted by better local sentiment following an increase in the government's bond prices, dealers said.

At 5 pm, the ringgit was quoted at 3.7300/7340 against the US dollar, from 3.7430/7460 last Friday.
A dealer said on Monday that the 10-year yield decreased to 4.015% , while  the three-year yield shed to 3.215%.

He also said the external environment, fuelled by renewed optimism on the development in Greek debt, was partly aided to the day's performance.

The ringgit was also higher against other major currencies.
