The FBM KLCI was marginally lower at midday on Thursday on lack of fresh catalysts following the lacklustre Asian markets, with investors staying on the sidelines as the ringgit skidded back to the 3.8 levels.
At 12.30pm, the KLCI was down 0.32 of a point to 1,729.21. Turnover was 930.3 million shares valued at RM730.89mil. There were 355 gainers, 329 decliners and 305 counters unchanged.
Reuters reported that Asian shares dipped on Thursday following Wall Street's decline overnight and lackluster regional data while the greenback consolidated gains on the back of upbeat US economic news.
