Bursa Malaysia Securities has cautioned investors over the recent sharp rise in the price of poultry company Lay Hong Bhd, warning it would take regulatory action to ensure fair and orderly trading.
The regulator had on Tuesday advised investors to be aware of the company’s responses to the unusual market activity (UMA) queries issued Oct 2 and Nov 2, 2015 and Jan 19, 2016.
“The company has in its latest response to UMA query confirmed that it was not aware of any corporate development or explanation that could give rise to the unusual trading activities in its shares, save and except for the announcements made on Jan 11, 13 and 15.
