Blue chips ended Friday morning lower in volatile trade as sentiment turned risk averse as crude oil prices fell and the ringgit gave up recent gains against major currencies.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was down 2.49 points or 0.15% to 1,677.53 – however it was the least impacted compared with the key Asian markets.
The value of shares traded reflected the lower quality, with turnover at 926.58 million shares valued at RM620.89mil. The broader market was mixed with 311 gainers, 360 losers and 299 stocks unchanged.
