1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) has appointed international litigation specialist Weil Gotshal & Manges in its dispute with International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) and Aabar Investments PJS.
It said on Friday Weil Gotshal is a globally renowned, top tier law firm, specialising in, amongst others, international litigation.
“1MDB will file a robust response to the request for arbitration (RFA), on or before the deadline of July 11 2016, as stipulated by the London Court of International Arbitration,” it said.
The statement was issued after 1MDB was served with the request for arbitration, dated June 13, by IPIC and Aabar in relation to its ongoing dispute with IPIC.
