Asian Market Update : Epic Research Malaysia

Most Asian stocks dropped as Tokyo shares slid after the Bank of Japan’s policy decision disappointed investors.

Some 651 stocks fell and 306 rose as the MSCI Asia Pacific Index traded little changed as of 12:30 p.m. in Hong Kong. The gauge is heading for its third weekly advance, bringing the monthly gain to 4.8 percent. The Topix index slid 1.2 percent as the yen surged 2.2 percent after the BOJ expanded exchange-traded fund purchases while keeping its bond buying and interest rates unchanged. Japanese shares have fluctuated this week before the central bank’s decision, with policy makers widely expected to add to stimulus at the end of its two-day meeting.
