The Malaysian bourse slipped lower at noon on Wednesday on losses in blue chips.
At 12.30pm, the benchmark index was down 4.22 points to 1,664.04. Turnover stood at 722.98 million shares worth RM529.1mil. Losers outpaced gainers 205 to 322 with 288 counters unchanged.
Reuters reported that caution gripped Asian markets on Tuesday, sending the safe-haven yen higher ahead of central bank meetings in the United States and Japan,
“Following the negative performance in the US, the FBM KLCI could decline to day with support at 1,610,” JF Apex Research said.
