Datasonic Group Bhd’s call warrants tumbled early Tuesday but its shares still held steady after the company was rebuked by the government over the alleged faulty chips used in the passports.
At 10am, the call warrants, Datasonic-CJ plunged 12 sen to 1.5 sen with 58,600 units done.
Its shares were holding steady, just down two sen to RM1.38 with 1.61 million shares traded.
The FBM KLCI fell 1.45 points or 0.09% to 1,663.78. Turnover was 338.72 million shares done valued at RM163.17mil. There were 154 gainers and 259 losers.
The Star reported the Government has ordered Datasonic, which was appointed to supply passports, to buck up or face action.
