The Employees Provident Fund (EPF)'s Simpanan Shariah, which will be launched in January 2017, is now open for registration at EPF branches, nationwide, to all members regardless of race, religion and nationality.
Members who wish to convert their conventional EPF savings to Simpanan Shariah will need to personally visit any EPF branch and bring along their MyKad to verify their thumbprint, EPF said in a statement.
Foreign nationals who are members should bring their passports.
"Today (Monday) is a momentous milestone for EPF as we commence registration for Simpanan Shariah," EPF chief executive officer Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan said in the statement.
