Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Bhd (MMHE) stayed in the red in the second quarter ended June 30, 2015 with net losses at RM2.56mil compared with net profit of RM18.02mil a year ago as heavy engineering orders slumped.
MMHE said on Monday its revenue fell 49% to RM297.44mil from RM582.14mil a year ago. Loss per share were 0.2 sen compared with earnings per share of 1.1 sen.
Its heavy engineering segment posted operating loss of RM492,000 compared with an operating profit of RM17.48mil a year ago due to lower revenue in the back of fewer and lowe value projects in progress.
