August natural gas NGQ14 -0.05% declined by 18 cents, or 4.1%, to end at $4.225 per million British thermal units. That marked the lowest close for a most-active contract since January.
August gasoline RBQ4 -0.26% fell 3 cents, or 1%, to $2.99 a gallon, while August heating oil HOQ4 -0.35% shed more than a cent to $2.915 a gallon.
