Forex Market Update : Epic Research Malaysia

The dollar was flat against the yen on Friday, with the greenback pressured by weakness in the Nikkei Stock Average as an overall mood of risk aversion continues to smolder.

The dollar USDJPY, -0.14%  was at ¥106.31 from ¥106.33 late Thursday in New York.

The euro EURUSD, -0.08%  was at $1.2798 from $1.2810, while the common currency was at EURJPY, -0.24%  ¥136.03 from ¥136.20.

The WSJ Dollar Index BUXX, +0.04%  , a measure of the dollar against a basket of major currencies, was down 0.04% at 77.09.
