KLCI slips in early trade as TM and Tenaga weigh.

KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips extended their losses in early Friday trade as investors stayed cautious after the recent selldown by foreign funds, with Telekom Malaysia and Tenaga Nasional heading the top losers list.

At 9.25am, the KLCI was down 1.73 points or 0.1% to 1,739.75. Turnover was 108.64 million shares valued at RM58.34mil. There were 132 gainers, 192 losers and 197 counters unchanged.

JF Apex Research said following the pessimism stemmed from Greece, it expects the KLCI to remain under pressure with immediate support at 1,730.

BIMB Securities Research said foreign funds were net sellers on Bursa Malaysia at -RM233.1mil on Thursday and joining in the selling were retail investors at –RM11.9mil.
