Construction-based Ikhmas Jaya Group Bhd staged a strong debut on Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on Monday amid a weaker market.
It opened at 68 sen, up 11 sen from its offer price of 57 sen.
At 9.02am, it was trading at 71 sen. There were 20.11 million shares done at prices ranging from 67.5 sen to 72 sen.
The FBM KLCI fell 9.41 points or 0.55% to 1,711.35. Turnover was 71.56 million shares valued at RM28.92mil. There were 105 gainers, 127 losers and 146 counters unchanged.
Under its listing exercise, the 26 million shares made available to the public was oversubscribed 8.18 times.
