Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and AirAsia have suspended flights into and out of Denpasar, Bali, following the closure of the Ngurah Rai International Airport due to a volcanic ash cloud.
It comes on the heels of the eruption of Mount Raung in East Java.
MAS, on its website, said it would continue monitoring the situation closely and provide regular updates.
"Guests are advised to check their flight status on www.malaysiaairlines.com or call 1300-33-1313 before proceeding to the airport.
"Safety remains of utmost importance to Malaysia Airlines," it added.
