MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 2.4 points to 1,699.14.

Volume was 18.45 million lots worth RM9.35 million.

Gainers outnumbered losers 110 to 51.
