The FBM KLCI extended its gains and ended Thursday's morning session more than 35 points up, supported by select heavyweights and the firmer regional markets, as investors await the outcome of Fed's meeting.
At 12.30pm, the KLCI rose 35.18 points to 1,682.33. Turnover was 1.414 billion shares traded at RM1.7bil. There were 595 gainers, 185 decliners and 252 counters unchanged.
