Mitsubishi vehicle prices to rise 2% to 7% by Q1 2016

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) says prices for Mitsubishi vehicles to rise between 2% and 7% in the first quarter of 2016.

The company, which is the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia, said on Wednesday the higher prices was due to the depreciation of the ringgit that has impacted the overall cost of the vehicle.

The company estimates the price increase to be around 2% to 7% depending on the model.

MMM chief executive officer Yang Won-Chul said if the ringgit appreciates to a better currency, the company will review its pricing structure again.
