Tenaga Nasional underpinned the FBM KLCI’s advance at midday on Friday while Kulim was in focus on Johor Corp’s privatisation plan for the cash-rich company.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was up 2.05 points or 0.12% to 1,690.59. Turnover was 1.20 billion shares valued at RM871.84mil. There were 390 gainers, 324 losers and 341 counters unchanged.
The ringgit was quoted at 4.3035 to the US dollar, weakening from the previous close of 4.2985 while it was firmer against the pound sterling at 6.5460 from 6.6158 and strengthened against the Singapore dollar at 3.0591 from 3.0601.
