The Leading Index (LI), which monitors the economic performance in advance remained in October 2015 at 118.4 points.
According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia, the decrease in three components of LI were offset by the increase in Real Imports of Other Basic Precious & Other Non-ferrous Metal (0.2%), Bursa Malaysia Industrial Index (0.1%) and Number of New Companies Registered (0.1%).
“The annual change of LI rebounded to 0.3% in October 2015 from negative 0.4% in the previous month,” the department said on Wednesday.
The Coincident Index (CI) which measures the current economic activity, posted a growth of 0.7% in October 2015.
