PERSISTENT liquidation pressure dragged Dagang Nexchange Bhd (DNEX, 4456) shares to a low of 18 sen on Aug 25 last year, its worst level since June 24, 2009.
Thereafter, in the wake of a bout of fresh bargain-hunting interest, prices rebounded to a high of 29 sen on Oct 22 in a rally lasting two months, but the momentum was quick to fizzle out as the bulls could not attract follow-through buying.
Subsequently, prices retreated to the 21.5-sen area on Jan 21 on correction owing to apparent profit-taking activity before turning range-bound.
