MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.980 points to 1,715.360.

Volume was 10.97 million lots worth RM3.85 million.

Gainers outnumbered losers 41 to 38.
