Ajinomoto tumbles as profit taking picks up pace

Ajinomoto (M) Bhd’s shares fell to a low of RM12.34 on Wednesday as traders and investors  booked profit after the recent surge in its share price.

At 10.37am, it was down 80 sen  to RM12.48. There were 195,400 shares done.

The FBM KLCI fell 0.52 of a  point or  0.03% to 1,625.32. Turnover was 640.43 million shares valued at RM435.28mil. The broader market continued to weaken as decliners beat advancers 347  to 202 and 309 counters were unchanged.

StarBiz reported Anjinomoto’s share price fell on Tuesday on profit-taking a day after informing Bursa Malaysia it was unaware of the reasons behind the sharp rise in its share price.
