Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session on a positive note at mid-day, led by buying support for selected banking and plantations stocks.
The benchmark FBM KLCI ended the lunch break 5.06 points higher at 1,631.56, after moving between 1,631.82 and 1,624.44 throughout the morning trading session. The index opened 0.67 of a point weaker at 1,625.83.
There were 351 gainers, 299 losers and 325 counters traded unchanged on the Bursa Malaysia. Turnover was at 911.7 million shares valued at RM775.38mil.
