Proton Holdings Bhd will decide on its strategic partner in one year's time, its chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Fuaad Kenali said.
"Since the announcement of the RM1.5bil soft loan by the Government there has been lot of OEM (original equipment manufacturers) that have approached us.
"But, we have to discuss it the task force on deeper level strategic partner.
"As of now through our collaboration with Suzuki, we will launch a new model in October," he told the press at the launching of Proton new Perdana models officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak on Tuesday.
In April, the Government has agreed to approve the soft loan of RM1.5bil.
