The Securities Commission has warned the public about get-rich-quick schemes promoted under the guise of bonds investments.
The regulator said on Tuesday to add legitimacy to the scheme, the offerings are sometimes linked to foreign bonds.
“The schemes entice investors with promises of profits as high as 40% per month.
“Such schemes usually guarantee high returns or profits with little or no risk to investors. Where the scheme claims to originate from overseas, investors should verify the legitimacy of the scheme,” it said.
