Foreign fund net buying into Bursa Malaysia crept up to +RM853.8mil in the week ended July 22, an increase of about RM31mil, according to MIDF Equities Research.
It said on Monday despite the increase in net foreign buying, the amount flowing into Malaysian equities showed signs of receding last week.
“The net amount purchased by foreign investors tapered down to a marginal +RM31.2mil from +RM764.2mil the week prior. The estimates are based on transactions in the open market which excluded off market deals.
Foreigners were net buyers on Bursa on the first two trading days, and turned net sellers Wednesday onward.
