Crude-oil futures trading in New York settled lower Tuesday, coming off a three-week high ahead of weekly supply reports.
Light, sweet crude futures for August delivery fell 17 cents, or 0.2%, to settle at $104.42 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
September Brent crude UK:LCOU4 +0.16% on London’s ICE Futures exchange lost 35 cents, or 0.3%, to end at $107.33 a barrel. It traded as high as $108.40 a barrel earlier, as traders kept watch over geopolitical developments in Europe and possible tighter European Union sanctions on Russia.
