January platinum PLF5, +0.30%  joined in the commodity buying spree to start the week, rallying $6, or 0.5%, to $1,267.80 an ounce, while traders pulled December palladium PAZ4, +0.48%  up $5.65, or 0.7%, to $790.70 an ounce. High-grade copper for December delivery HGZ4, +0.03%  was flat at $3.03 a pound.
