AmResearch has maintained its Neutral recommendation on the oil and gas sector but it had Buy calls on Yinson Holdings, Dialog Group and Bumi Armada.
It said on Monday it preferred established companies exposed to the production phase with long-term service contracts and recurring income, as these were less sensitive to the oil price fluctuations.
The research house cited a StarBiz report on Petronas' indication that only 14 of its oil rigs will be in operation by year-end, compared with 39 as at end -2014 amid the current depressed market conditions for the sector.
