Malayan Banking Bhd is always on the lookout for opportunities in mergers and acquisitions, its group president and chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Farid Alias said.
"There are markets that we are interested in, but we are waiting for the right time," he said on Monday.
Farid added the banking group was not looking at raising funds for the next two years as it still had the capital. The last fund-raising exercise was carried out two years ago, he said.
