Communications and personal computers accounted for nearly 64% of the top semiconductor markets by end-used in 2015, according to a World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) report.
The semiconductor end-use report said communications accounted for 34.1% of total sales while PC and computers accounted for 29.7%.
WSTS said last year marked the second year in a row that communications represented the largest end-use application for semiconductors.
However, unlike over the past six years, it did not grow as a share of total semiconductor sales in 2015.
