Tenaga Nasional, Digi and IHH Healthcare weighed on the FBM KLCI at midday on Tuesday while AFG was in focus amid a cautious broader market.
At 12.30pm, the KLCI was down 0.82 of a point or 0.05% to 1,714.46. Turnover was 867 million shares valued at RM558.08mil. Decliners beat advancers 330 to 271 while 354 counters were unchanged.
Oil prices dipped on Tuesday, but both US and international crude futures held above US$40 per barrel ahead of a meeting of major producers to discuss freezing output levels to rein in ballooning oversupply, Reuters reported. US light crude oil fell 13 cents to US$40.23 while Brent was down 13 cents also to US$42.70.
