Blue chips extended their gains for the third day on Thursday, underpinned by local funds support after Fitch Ratings upgraded the Outlook for Malaysia’s sovereign, while Time dotcom surged after its bumper dividend.
At 9.18am, the FBM KLCI was up 2.41 points or 0.14% to 1,730.37. Turnover was 116.73 million shares valued at RM72.71mil. There were 211 gainers, 78 losers and 159 counters unchanged.
BIMB Securities Research expects the Malaysian market to remain positive on Thursday following improved investor sentiment and attractive valuations with immediate resistance at 1,735 to 1,740.
