Boustead Holdings Bhd saw the ordinary rights entitlement shares (Boustead-OR) tumble in early Wednesday when they started trading.
At 10.12am, Boustead-OR fell 28.5 sen to 25.5 sen with 2.15 million shares done.
The share price lost 24 sen to RM2.85 with 219,700 shares done.
The FBM KLCI rose 1.91 points or 0.12% to 1,627.75. Turnover was 534.09 million shares valued at RM345.21mil. The broader market was weaker with decliners beating advancers 298 to 203 while 282 counters unchanged.
Under the corporate exercise, the diversified group had made a renounceable rights issue of 413.67 million new shares on the basis of two rights shares for every five shares held on Tuesday at an issue price of RM2.55 per rights share.
The rights will cease trading on June 1.
